On May 30th, 2018 the Shanghai branch of an Italian well-known grout company – LITOKOL S.p.A. – held a spectacular annual supplier training conference in Suzhou (Jiangsu Province), PRC. For this unique occasion, the entire Italian key managerial personnel were there, in particular: Alessandro Turini – global sales director, Rolando Peperone - sales director of Greater China, Juri Chiossi - senior technical engineer and Giulio Cinelli - general manager of LITOKOL Shanghai. The event was a blast, not only for its forward-thinking contents but also because it was attended by more than fifty distributors, coming from all over Greater China for sharing the state-of-art technology, while increasing product application skills and tuning their installation techniques.
Mr. Juri demonstrated how to apply a wide range of products, among which: (i) the "Starlike" and X90 series epoxy grouts; (ii) Aquamaster – market-leading liquid membrane ready for use in water-based dispersion; and (iii) high-performance cleaners and surface treatment products. Suppliers were unanimously plunged into the demonstration and closely involved, communicating with LITOKOL crew while sharing their personal experiences, and actively participating into interactive Q&A sessions.
Multiple positive feedbacks were gathered during the conference, among which the following is noteworthy – and we quote – «LITOKOL grouts are state-of-art products with superior quality that fill the vacancy in Chinese high-end grouts market».
Mr. Alessandro Turini – global sales director – stated «LITOKOL is one of the few worldwide manufacturers for biological grout product on the market, and our Group greatly invests time and financial resources in revisiting existing products ‘composition, scouting new features and – thanks to the support of our R&D (research and development) Department, in synergy with Government Bureau and National Universities – developing new formula. LITOKOL upgrades on timely basis, roughly every two years, the formula and products to promptly respond to the market needs and changing trends».
When the art meets science. A specific section of the event was expressly dedicated to an unconventional application of LITOKOL’ products. Thanks to the artistic ability, skills and talent to create fine works of art, Mr. Jin was able to shape our “Starlike” grout by conveying his emotional and spiritual state in an iconic landscape painting, a fleeting illustration of “The Cliff Walk at Pourville” belonging to the famous French painter Oscar-Claude Monet [Founder of French Impressionist painting, Claude Monet was the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement’s philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein air (the act of painting outdoors) landscape painting (the depiction of landscapes in art)]. The completed painting was collected by LITOKOL after the meeting.
